New Bags for Tech-Savvy City Cyclists

Urbanites who like to keep their technology accessible, especially while on the go by bicycle, will find a lot to like in the new Portal Series bags from Osprey Packs.

They come with a padded, touch-sensitive windowed sleeve (below) that allows protected use of a tablet computer without removing it from the bag.  So there’s none of the usual rummaging when pausing to view directions, check text messages or snap selfies for Instagram. Additional assets to keep tech-savvy cyclists squared away include a separate laptop sleeve (fits up to 15 in.), document sleeves, organizer panel to keep smaller items secure, a scratch-free sunglasses pocket and a low-profile padded grab handle.

Mobile utility plays out sweetly in Portal on New York City, a video (click here to view) shot by Osprey in which a playful couple chases around Manhattan and Brooklyn on a journey to rooftop romance — all while checking clues on their tablets with a flip of the front flap on their bags.
