These bright little seat-mounted cylinders are as well suited to carrying make-up as to multi-tools on your city ride. They’re a sleek and stylish introduction from Carl & Rose, a new company founded by Suzanne Carlsen, a multi-talented designer and crafts person whom I first met at the 2012 New Amsterdam Bicycle Show in New York City, and artist Noah Rosen, owner of Velocolour, an award-winning custom bicycle painting business.

The bags, which also come in in orange, red, black and grey, are constructed of heavy vinyl lined with cotton. A toe clip strap – choose black or white – secures the cylinder to the saddle and makes it easy to remove when parking on the street. Another cool feature: The bags can be customized with zipper colors to match your bike frame.

For bicycling, the Toronto-based company also offers beautifully crafted, custom chain guards and head badges, as well as bicycle-themed jewelry.
