The official debut of spring next week is the perfect time to get your cycling fitness goals in gear. On Thursday night, March 20, the Rapha Cycle Club in Manhattan will host a party to launch a series of weekly group training rides for women that will culminate in the second Rapha Women’s 100 km ride on July 20.

Early-season group rides are ideal opportunities for both new and experienced road cyclists to  build strength and endurance, meet new friends and connect with training partners. So join in! NYC cycling coach Tara Parsons will be on hand at the party to answer your questions about training and reaching your fitness goals. Also, party bags to the first 30 attendees!

The Sunday training rides will meet at the club at 9 a.m. for coffee and depart at 9:30 a.m. Initial outings will be approximately 40-mile round trips across the George Washington Bridge and up Route 9W, and will gradually build in length as the season progresses. More information: 212-804-5050

The Rapha Women’s 100 is a celebration of women’s cycling that last year drew more than 4,000 participants worldwide. Cyclists anywhere are invited to organize their own rides or to join rides in their communities. New York City hosted two great outings in the inaugural year.
