Two-wheeled travel sparks creative expression, and one consistent sign is the Artcrank NYC show and sale of handmade, bicycling-inspired posters at Bicycle Habitat.

Last week, the shop’s SoHo location at 250 Lafayette was transformed into a gallery for viewing limited-edition, signed and numbered copies of works by 29 New York City artists. And, for the second year in a row, it drew a massive crowd of cycling enthusiasts who mingled amidst a wide range of printed works. Also part of the festivities: Craft beer from Widmer Brothers Brewing Company and a raffle for a Project One bicycle frameset sponsored by Trek.

A portion of the proceeds benefited Streetsblog and Streetfilms, vital sources of indepth online coverage of sustainable transportation and liveable communities.
