As April ushers in spring showers, rainsuits for children are the answer to keeping the littlest bicycle passengers happy and dry. That’s why we’re smitten with the whimsically named, waterproof and windproof designs from the Belgian company Ducksday.
Sized for ages 6 months to 5 years, and constructed of breathable material, the suits come in a variety of cute colors and patterns (funky red, at right), and are packed with parent-approved features: waterproof zippers and taped seams, elastic foot stirrups, and sleeve cuffs and a hood that adjust with Velcro for a snug fit. Reflective strips help boost visibility, too.
Compactly folded into pouches, the rainsuits are easy to keep on hand in a tote or bike bag in case of a downpour. Pair these with cheery rain boots, and your kids are set for carefree puddle-jumping and play once you’ve reach your destination.
