For me, every day starts and ends with a bike ride. I commute to and from work, and I also organize the BikeTrain  group rides in Manhattan and Brooklyn. My list of holiday gifts for bicycle commuters below is based on my own solutions to fending off the cold, carrying my things, staying visible on the road and (of course!) doing it all in style. With a few essential pieces of gear, bicycle commuting can be carefree and fun all year long. When shopping for city cycling accessories, look for pieces that look good on and off the bike, and that offer water resistance, wool or technical fiber content, reflectivity and durability. Ultimately, what could be more thoughtful than a gift of warmth and comfort for friends and family members who ride bikes?
