Black Friday weekend is a great time to shop local NYC bike businesses and online for savings. Cycling deals abound to help you fill gaps in cold-weather gear, get a jump on spring with a new ride or stock up on gifts to delight bicycle-loving family members and friends. We’ll be posting tons of gift ideas, from pretty city bikes to hot stocking stuffers, beginning after the Thanksgiving holiday, but in the mean time, here are some links to get you started this weekend. No door-busters, but some quantities are limited:
Adeline Adeline – Save 25 to 30 percent on select Linus bicycles, through Nov. 25, in store only. Also shop the sale section online for substantial savings on accessories and gear.
Bicycle Habitat – If the clothing, gear or accessories you covet are more than 30 percent black, you save 30 percent. Also find discounts of 10 to 30 percent on current and 2013 bicycles. Free bike parking, too, for those who want to continue shopping in Soho.
Urban Spoke Supports WE Bike NYC – To celebrate its grand opening, the new women’s cycling accessories website Urban Spoke gives customers the option to donate 15 percent of their total purchases to WE Bike NYC, the organization that helps encourage and empower women to ride bicycles.
