The best way to get around the third annual Fashion’s Night Out NYC after-hours shopping extravaganza on Sept. 8? By bicycle, of course. And here’s an event you’ll want to put on your agenda: the “Girls on Bikes” Stop at the 3.1 Philip Lim boutique in Soho.

The Lim cocktail party takes its cue from the fabulous Girls on Bikes short film (photo above) produced in conjunction with the launch of the 2011 fall/winter 3.1 Phillip Lim collection. The film celebrates the woman who navigates the city by bicycle “without compromising her style.” That’s us, right?

Aside from shopping elegantly cut and effortlessly chic dresses and separates, FNOers will have an opportunity to sip a drink, meet Lim (who personally designed and named the cocktails to be served), and enter a drawing for a Linus bike and a 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Pashli’ messenger bag (swoon!) – both featured in the film.

This is all going to be a dream if this rain will go away. I can’t believe last year I wore jeans and a jacket for FNO by bike. It was cooler it seems.

  2. Rebecca says:

Thanks for this – had no idea it was going on and now I can’t wait. Fingers crossed that the rain abates so I don’t have to ride over in a not-so-fashionable rain coat.

  3. Lori says:

I think she would look even more fashionable with a Philip Lim designed helmet!

Nice Fashion — so glad to see “real” clothing worn while bicycling. Ugh! i’m so tired of seeing spandex.
